1. Do I need a Credit Card?
Yes for all online bookings and yes, for the bond if you are booking from our agents in person.
2. When do I pay for my hire vehicle?
All payments must be paid in full at time of booking. If this is not possible please contact us to discuss your individual needs. In some instances we may contact you for a holding deposit to secure your reservation.
3. What is the minimum rental period?
Minimum period is 2 hours.
4. Can I extend my hire?
Yes. You need to pay for the extended hire period in advance. This is in order to ensure continuation of your insurance coverage. We can take phone payment for this purpose.
5. What happens if I return the vehicle before the due date, do I get a refund?
Yes for local hires however a minimum cancellation fee applies of $33.00. A minimum safe period is included for all one way hires hence no refund for early arrival on one-way hires are applicable.
6. What Driver's License do I need to rent a vehicle?
We recognise all current non-provisional Australian and current overseas licenses. The required driver's license must be in English with photo and produced at the commencement of the rental. Should the license be in another language an International Driving Permit must accompany it. No 'Red' 'P's are accepted however Green 'P's are accepted if the driver is over 23 years of age. We must sight and record the details of every driver. There are no additional costs for additional drivers. All drivers must be named on the hire agreement otherwise there is no insurance cover provided.
7. Are there age restrictions?
The minimum driver age is 23 years. The maximum driver age is 75 years.
8. What happens in case of a breakdown, if I lock my keys in the vehicle, have a flat tyre or run out of fuel, can I get road side assistance?
We provide 24 hour, national road-side assistance.
Fees may apply for lost, damaged or 'locked-in' keys.
9. If I use a Toll Road, how do I pay?
Please refer to the booking confirmation details and the “Important Information” page for full details.
10. Do I have to pay Traffic and/or Parking fines myself?
Yes. It is your responsibility to pay all road/traffic and/or parking infringements whilst you are using our vehicle. All infringement Notice’s for traffic or parking fines that we process on your behalf will attract a $33 administration fee per infringement regardless of the reason or fault.
11. What will it cost me if I damage the vehicle?
It will cost you your bond and applicable excess if insurance is accepted. If not covered by insurance the default position, at law, is that the driver, not the registered owner, that is SMH, is responsible for all property damage repair.
